File a series in a collection
Group the volumes of a series in a collection: KikouBook shows the missing volumes, and your relatives find gift ideas there.
File a book when adding it
When KikouBook knows the series of a book and its volume number, it offers to file it when you add it to a library:
- File in "Le Petit Spirou", volume 14: the library already has a collection of this name. The box is checked, tap Add.
- Create the collection "Le Petit Spirou" (volume 14): the library has none yet. The box is unchecked: check it to create the collection at the same time.
Case and accents don't matter: "Le petit Spirou" finds the collection "Le Petit Spirou".
File a book already in a library
Open the book: when it belongs to a series and is in no collection, a Series "Le Petit Spirou", volume 15 banner shows. Tap File. When the collection doesn't exist yet, KikouBook asks you to confirm its creation.
You can also pick the collection and the volume yourself, in the Collection and Volume fields of the book.
Missing volumes
A collection shows its missing volumes: the ones neither owned nor wanted in the library, up to the last volume filed, or up to the Number of volumes when you set it by editing the collection.
Your relatives see the collections of the libraries shared with them, and their missing volumes. That's why KikouBook never creates a collection without your consent.
When no series is suggested
The series and the volume come from the catalog of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. A book it doesn't know, or whose series it doesn't name, has no suggestion: create the collection with New collection in the library, then file the book in it.
